Let's Discover Natural Health

Let's Discover Natural Health

So why natural health?  What's wrong with  just going to the doctor when we are unwell?  After all, aren't doctors professionals trained to cure all ills?

Its true that in the modern world, doctors know a lot and have a huge range of drugs and surgical techniques at their disposal.  There is a lot to be said for getting medical advice from a qualified doctor.  They are a very important part of the health care spectrum.  But they are just one part.  There is a lot more to health care than just allopathic medicine.  Of course there are alternatives to the aliphatic approach, more sympathetic methods which work with nature.

Naturopathy is an eclectic system of healthcare, which promotes the body's self-healing mechanism.  The word "Naturopathy" stems from the 19th Century "Nature Cures" using treatments incorporating water, air, light, massage and diet. The early Naturopaths were also called the hygiene school of practitioners, advocating moderation in eating and drinking and cleanliness of living. Often fasting was used as treatment.  Naturopathy is still alive and well in the 21st century, indeed it is at the heart of all Holistic Medicine.

Holistic and naturopathic systems treat the whole person, physically, mentally and spiritually. There are many techniques used by Natural medical practitioners including Reflexology, Cranio-sacral therapy, Hypnotherapy, Nutrition, Iridology, Psychotherapy and Aromatherapy and many others.

More and more people are turning to these natural methods of treating and preventing illness. Such methods are free from the unwanted and often dangerous side effects associated with allopathic drugs. Natural holistic or wholistic treatments consider the person as a whole, they don't just mask the symptoms. The treatment received will be compassionate and the patient will usually receive all the time that they need.
